Fed: Federal MPs to speak to Baxter detainees
A group of federal politicians is off to the Baxter immigration detention centre in
South Australia today.
Migration committee chairman, Liberal MP DON RANDALL, says the visit will involve an
inspection of the facility as part of the committee's interest in Australia's immigration
detention facilities and practices.
He says the committee is also keen to learn more about the experiences of detainees,
particularly at Baxter.
